Well Water in Palm Beach County: What a Water Test Looks For

If your home is on a private well, you are in charge of your own water. There is no utility treating it before it reaches your tap. That is why a water test is the first step before choosing any well water treatment.

What we look at in well water

  • Hardness: the minerals behind white spots, scale and dry-feeling laundry

  • Iron: the cause of orange stains on fixtures, driveways and walls

  • Odor: a rotten egg smell usually points to sulfur in the water

  • Appearance: cloudy, tinted or sediment-heavy water

  • Your well and pump: pressure, flow and how the system is behaving

Why well water changes

Well water is not always the same year-round. Heavy rain, drought and nearby construction can all affect what comes out of the tap. A system that worked five years ago may not match your water today.

Common well water problems in our area

Homes in Loxahatchee, The Acreage, Wellington and western Palm Beach County often see more than one issue at once. Iron and sulfur frequently show up together, and hardness is common. That is why one product rarely fixes everything.

Pressure problems? Check the pump too

Low pressure or no water at all can be a pump issue, not a water quality issue. We also handle well pump repair and replacement.
