Free Water Test in Palm Beach: What We Look At and What Happens Next

Most homeowners know something is off with their water long before they know what it is. Spots on the shower glass, a smell from the tap, or a softener that never seems to keep up. A free water test is the simplest way to find out what is going on before you spend anything.

What we look at during a free water test

Our team visits your home and checks the things that affect how your water looks, tastes, smells and feels. That usually includes:

  • Hardness, the minerals behind spots and scale

  • Iron, the cause of orange and rust-colored stains

  • Odor and taste, including sulfur and chlorine

  • Your water source, whether city water or a private well

  • Any equipment already in place, and how it is working

We also ask what bothers you most. A family dealing with stained laundry needs a different answer than one that just wants better-tasting drinking water.

City water vs. well water

Palm Beach and Broward homes get water from many different sources. City water is treated before it reaches you, but it often carries a chlorine taste and hardness minerals. Well water in areas like Loxahatchee, The Acreage and Wellington can bring iron, sulfur smell and heavier hardness.

The test tells us which of these apply to your home, so the recommendation fits your water, not a sales sheet.

What happens after the test

We walk you through what we found in plain English. If your water is in good shape, we will tell you. If it is not, we explain your options, which may include a water softener, iron or sulfur treatment, or whole house reverse osmosis.

There is no pressure to decide on the spot. You get a clear recommendation and time to think it over.

When to book a test

  • You just moved into a new home

  • You are buying or selling a home and want to know about the water (water testing for real estate)

  • Your water has changed in color, smell or taste

  • Your current system is older and you are not sure it is still working
